JCSfund is a tuition-based scholarship program for undergraduate students in Nigerian public universities who are passionate, academically sound, and driven by purpose.
What is JCSFund?
JCSfund is a special annual intervention program aimed at helping resourceful students overcome financial obstacles in their pursuit of higher education.
For the year 2025, we’re awarding full tuition scholarships to six (6) deserving undergraduate students at Abia State University, Uturu, from their current academic level to the completion of their studies.

Eligibility criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria
- You must be an undergraduate student at Abia State University, Uturu.
- You must be a member of a local church/fellowship in ABSU
- 100-level students: You must have concluded your first-semester examinations with a grade point average of 3.5 and above
- 200 - 600 level students: You must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and above.
- 200 direct-level students: You must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and above.
Application Requirements
To complete your application, you’ll need:
A valid ID (NIN, Student ID, Passport, or Driver’s License)
A recommendation letter from your campus church pastor addressed to the JCSFund Chairman
Admission Letter
Academic transcript or result slip for previous academic sessions
A concise CV/Resumé showing your leadership or community impact
Two essays (minimum 400 words each):
Christian values in leadership & how you’ll use your education to impact your community and uphold Christian principles
How the current economic situation affects your family & how this fund can help
A motivation letter (minimum 400 words) explaining:
Why you chose your course
Your long-term career goals
You are required to come for a physical verification at School Cafeteria, Abia State University, Uturu. Please come with all relevant documents.

⚠️ Continued Eligibility
To retain the scholarship, selected beneficiaries must:
- Maintain a CGPA of 3.5 or higher
- Uphold moral and ethical standards
- Not be found guilty of misconduct, crime, or social vices
- Submit academic progress reports when requested
- Participate in vetting/evaluation sessions
